Pressure mapping provides a visual representation of the degree of
pressure relief achieved by a particular cushion. However, pressure
mapping does not prove that one cushion is “better” than another. While
pressure relief is very important in selecting a cushion, other
characteristics that must be considered are positioning, vibration
reduction, weight, and maintenance requirements.
